VISITING THE FIRST THEMATIC TOBACCO STORE IN LA PALMA

Puros Artesanos Julio is a family business that began its journey in the world of tobacco in 1950, in which several generations of artisans have participated. It is located in the town of Breña Alta on the island of La Palma, a town that has a long tobacco tradition, both in production and planting, thanks to a very favourable microclimate.
Our product is an authentic artisan and homemade cigar from La Palma, since it is entirely elaborated in our home workshop. In addition, we give preference to tobacco grown in our town and island, mixing it with other tobacco from various origins: Cuba, Brazil, Indonesia (Java, Sumatra)…
The outcome is an aromatic and peculiar blending that represents us and differentiates us from the rest of the cigars on the market.

This family business wants to continue with this work that has historically been so important for our island. We do not relent in our efforts to keep this artisan work alive, for which our ancestors fought so hard. We must not forget that this work became the main source of income for many households of our island, mitigating hunger and need in the face of unfavourable economic conditions.
